In some ways, not a valid comparison. Google is like the yellow pages, while Facebook ads are like small space magazine ads.
However, some really fascinating “facts” here (if they are):
1) Not sure I believe that FB revenue per $ placed is higher than Google.
2) Daimler (e.g. Mercedes) spends $9MM on FB?
3) Globally, Google has 10X ad revenue of FB

One angle this misses is the opportunity for content marketing to consumers, not just businesses. Pinterest, Tumblr, interest-related newsletters, etc. all can be very powerful lin generating consideration and engagement with everyone.

OK, I will admit I don’t know how I would get my news via Instagram or Pinterest. Will investigate, but not sure I want to contaminate those two channels (which are usually fun to look at) with yet another channel telling me who blew up what today.
